Dodgers 6, Padres 5: Dee Gordon hit an 11th-inning RBI single as Los Angeles earned its third straight victory over the host Padres, who are off to their worst start since 2003.

Gordon’s two-out base hit to right off Anthony Bass (0-1) plated Mark Ellis, who led off the inning with a single to center. Jason Bartlett drew a leadoff walk in the bottom of the inning against Javy Guerra, but the Padres couldn’t bring him home.

The Dodgers have won 16 of the last 21 meetings dating back to last season, including eight of the last 11 at Petco Park.

Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier each had a pair of RBIs in the first four innings, and Ethier’s solo home run off starter Dustin Moseley in the fourth gave the Dodgers a 5-0 lead. But the Padres tied the score at five an inning later on Orlando Hudson’s RBI single to left. San Diego scored its other four runs on three straight bases-loaded walks and a wild pitch.

Todd Coffey (1-0) held the Padres scoreless in the 10th to earn the win, and Guerra picked up his first career save.

Gordon, a 23-year-old shortstop who appeared in 56 games last season, finished 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and three stolen bases.

Chris Capuano, who made his Dodger debut, allowed four runs in 4 2/3 innings and accounted for five of the team’s 10 walks. Kemp and A.J. Ellis had two hits apiece.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kemp has a 15-game hitting streak dating back to last season … The Dodgers improved to 3-0 for the first time since 1999 … Five Padres walked in the fifth inning and another got hit by a pitch … Moseley became the third straight San Diego starter to exit the game prior to the sixth inning … The two teams combined for 16 walks … Andrew Cashner threw a 100-mph fastball in the eighth inning … The last time San Diego scored on three straight bases-loaded walks was April 5, 1984 against the Pirates.
