Rockies 13, Astros 5:
Carlos Gonzalez hit three home runs for the first time in his career and Michael Cuddyer delivered a grand slam for host Colorado, which has a three-game winning streak for only the second time this season.

Dexter Fowler's three-run homer highlighted Colorado's six-run sixth inning, which began with six straight hits. The Rockies handed the Astros their season-high fifth loss in a row and defeated them for the sixth straight time at home. Fowler is 9-for-14 in the first three games of the series.

Gonzalez's second homer - a two-run shot - finished the scoring in the sixth inning and made it 12-5. His first, a solo shot in the fifth, broke a 5-5 tie. His last - and 13th of the season - finished the scoring in the eighth.

Cuddyer's seventh career grand slam came with two outs in the first inning.

Rockies rookie left-hander Christian Friedrich (3-1) allowed five runs, 11 hits and struck out six in six innings to record his first career victory at home.

Houston's Lucas Harrell (4-4) allowed nine runs and 10 hits in five innings in his first appearance at Coors Field.

The bottom four spots in the Houston order produced all five runs. Harrell's RBI single made it 4-1 in the second and Chris Snyder's two-run double in the third capped a four-run inning and tied the game 5-5.

Both benches were warned after the Astros' David Carpenter send a fastball sailing over the head of Fowler in the seventh inning. Colorado's Colorado's Adam Ottavino hit Justin Maxwell with a pitch in the top half.
