Tigers 10, Indians 8 (10): Miguel Cabrera's two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the 10th capped a five-run inning, giving Detroit a sweep of the weekend series and handing Cleveland its ninth straight loss.

Cabrera's blast to left-center completed a comeback from an 8-5 deficit. Cleveland closer Chris Perez retired the first two hitters in the 10th. After issuing a pair of walks, Perez (0-3) gave up a run-scoring double to Austin Jackson and a two-run single to Omar Infante that tied the game at 8-8.

Cabrera followed with his 27th homer of the season, extending the Tigers' winning streak to four games. Jackson and Infante each finished 4-for-6.

The Indians blew four different leads. Cleveland rallied off Joaquin Benoit in the 10th after wiggling out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the ninth. Travis Hafner hit his 11th homer of the season, a solo shot with one out to snap a 5-5 tie. Ezequiel Carrera followed with his first homer of the season and Lou Marson doubled home a run later in the inning.

Darin Downs (1-0) earned the victory with two-thirds inning of relief.

Detroit loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but Josh Tomlin got Quintin Berry to ground into a double play to send the game into extra innings.

Cleveland took a 5-4 lead on Hafner’s single in the seventh, scoring Carlos Santana. The Tigers tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh as Infante scored on Prince Fielder’s sacrifice fly.

Shin Soo Choo’s solo homer in the third, his 13th of the season, gave Cleveland a 3-1 lead. The Tigers rallied with single runs in the third and fourth, tying the contest at 3-3 on Alex Avila’s run-scoring single in the fourth, scoring Jhonny Peralta.
