Reds 5, Marlins 4 (11): Ryan Ludwick singled home the go-ahead run in the 11th, helping visiting Cincinnati avoid a three-game sweep.

Ludwick, Dioner Navarro and Didi Gregorius each finished with three hits for the Reds. Cincinnati leads the NL Central by 11 games on second-place St. Louis, which won in extra innings later Sunday at Los Angeles.

Cincinnati starter Mat Latos struck out eight in 7 2/3 innings, but allowed Jose Reyes’ double off the right-field wall to tie the game at 4-4 with two outs in the eighth. Ludwick’s single to left off Carlos Zambrano (7-10), the ninth Marlins pitcher, scored Chris Heisey with no outs in the 10th.

Reyes finished with three hits for the Marlins, who lost for the 11th time in its past 17 games. Miami starter Ricky Nolasco allowed three runs on 10 hits in five innings. Greg Dobbs tripled home two runs in the fourth to tie the score at 2-2.

Navarro snapped a 2-2 tie with a base hit to center in the fifth, scoring Joey Votto. The Reds finished with 17 hits, but left 12 men on base. Logan Ondrusek (4-2) got the final out of the 10th for the victory. Jonathan Broxton pitched the 11th for his 25th save, his second since coming to the Reds from Kansas City. Drew Stubbs robbed John Buck of extra bases at the center-field fence to end the game with the tying run on base.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cincinnati reduced its magic number to clinch the NL Central to five. … Miami has not won three in a row since July 4-6. … Cincinnati rookie SS Zack Cozart took batting practice for the second day in a row. The Reds have set no timetable on Cozart, who has a left oblique strain, returning to the lineup.
