Mets 3, Marlins 0:
R.A. Dickey tossed his third shutout of the season and matched the league lead in wins while Ike Davis homered and drove in all three runs as visiting New York continued its strong play.

David Wright and Ruben Tejada each singled and scored for the Mets, who have won five of their last six.

Dickey (17-4), one of the front-runners for the National League Cy Young Award, yielded only five hits while striking out seven and walking three against Miami. The knuckleballer has won his last three starts, allowing a total of two runs in 23 innings.

Nathan Eovaldi (4-10) matched his longest start of the season for the Marlins, going seven innings and allowing three runs on four hits. The 22-year-old did not allow a base runner until the fourth, when Tejada and Daniel Murphy led off with back-to-back singles.

Davis followed Wright’s lineout with a deep flyout to center, scoring Tejada from third.

New York struck again in the seventh. Wright led off with a single and Davis followed by clobbering a first-pitch curveball into the second deck in right for his 25th home run.

Justin Ruggiano recorded a pair of hits for Miami, which has lost six of eight.
