Nelson Cruz and Mike Napoli broke open a tie game with back-to-back homers in the fifth inning, and Colby Lewis allowed two runs in eight innings to give the Texas Rangers an 11-2 win over host Oakland on Saturday afternoon.

Cruz hit a three-run homer to put Texas ahead 5-2 and Napoli followed with his seventh of the year. Both shots came off Oakland starter Brett Anderson (2-2), who walked four and allowed seven runs in his worst start of the year.

Lewis (2-3) struck out six and scattered six hits to get his first win since April 2.

Designated hitter Michael Young also homered and finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs for Texas, which had lost four of its last five games and scored three runs in its last two games.

Left fielder Josh Willingham and catcher Kurt Suzuki homered for Oakland, which was again without leadoff hitter Coco Crisp, who has been hobbled by a strained quadriceps.
