Josh Bard, Casper Wells and Mike Carp each drove in two runs, and Charlie Furbush pitched five strong innings as the Seattle Mariners completed a three-game sweep with a 7-4 victory over the visiting Oakland Athletics on Wednesday afternoon.

Ichiro Suzuki had three hits and scored twice for the Mariners, whose last three-game sweep came at San Diego from May 20-22.

Bard gave Seattle the lead with a two-run single off All-Star Gio Gonzalez (9-9) in the fourth inning. Wells, who is hitting .400 (6-for-15) with a homer and five RBIs since being acquired from Detroit on Saturday, added RBI singles in the fifth and seventh.

Also obtained in the deal with Detroit, Furbush (2-3) was impressive in his first start since July 9. The 25-year old, who retired the first 13 batters he faced, allowed one run and two hits with three strikeouts.

Brandon League recorded the final two outs for his 26th save in 30 opportunities.

Josh Willingham belted a three-run homer for Oakland, which has lost five of seven.
