Ubaldo Jimenez threw his eighth career complete game and recorded his first win since last September to lead the visiting Colorado Rockies to a 3-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.

After giving up a career-high 12 hits in his last start, Jimenez (1-5) limited the Dodgers to four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts on 106 pitches in his third career shutout.

Jimenez had lost seven straight decisions going back to last season, and the Rockies were 1-11 in his last 12 starts. One year ago this week, Jimenez was 10-1 with a 0.78 ERA.

Todd Helton homered for the Rockies, who dropped to fourth place in the National League West after going a major league-worst 8-21 in May.

Jon Garland (1-5) allowed three runs on five hits in six innings for the Dodgers, who were looking for their first series sweep of the season.

After winning their last three games by a combined score of 23-3, the Dodgers went in order after Aaron Miles' leadoff single in the sixth.
