Todd Helton hit a pair of solo home runs and Jorge De La Rosa pitched seven strong innings as the Colorado Rockies posted a 4-3 road win over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday evening.
Helton homered in the first off Cubs starter James Russell, and his third homer of the season leading off the fifth made it 4-2. Ty Wigginton also homered for the Rockies.
De La Rosa (4-0) scattered six
hits and yielded just one earned run. The left-hander allowed just three hits over his final six scoreless frames.
Rafael Betancourt held the lead
through the eighth and Huston Street picked up his league-leading ninth save despite yielding Alfonso Soriano's seventh homer of the season.
Russell (1-3) was charged with four runs and five hits in four-plus innings.
