Dustin Pedroia drove in three runs and hit one of Boston’s four homers and Jon Lester pitched six shutout innings in a 14-2 road win against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday.

The Red Sox set a season-high for runs in an inning when they got to Tribe starter Mitch Talbot for seven in the first. Talbot (1-1), activated off the disabled list from a strained right elbow earlier in the day, was charged with eight runs and 12 hits in three innings.

David Ortiz, Carl Crawford and Jarrod Saltalamacchia also homered for the Red Sox, who sent 12 batters to the plate in the first inning. Saltalamacchia had three RBIs and Crawford scored three runs. Pedroia, who sat out Tuesday, looked fine after aggravating his surgically-repaired right foot on Monday.

Lester (7-1) rebounded from three consecutive shaky starts to limit the Indians to three hits while striking out seven.
