Adam Wainwright and two relievers combined on a six-hitter as the St. Louis Cardinals extended their winning streak to four games Saturday with a 2-0 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Wainwright (14-5) scattered five hits over six strong innings to win his fourth straight start. The ace right-hander has surrendered just one run over his last 29 1/3 innings to drop his ERA to 2.02 for the season.

Skip Schumacher gave the Cardinals a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning with an RBI double that brought home Jon Jay. St. Louis extended the advantage in the eighth on a run-scoring sacrifice fly by Brendan Ryan.

Kyle McLellan and Trever Miller tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Wainwright, and Ryan Franklin retired Casey Blake on a fly ball to right field for his 17th save.

Hiroki Kuroda (7-8) was the hard-luck loser, limiting the Cardinals to a run on four hits over six innings while walking one and striking out eight. Kuroda has lost three consecutive starts.

Blake DeWitt and Rafael Furcal each had two hits for the Dodgers, who have dropped three straight games.
