Carlos Gonzalez homered, tripled and drove in two runs as the Colorado Rockies posted a 5-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Gonzalez also scored twice and Jhoulys Chacin pitched seven strong innings for Colorado, which won for the fifth time in six games.

Los Angeles, which had its four-game winning streak snapped, took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI double by Casey Blake.

Colorado quickly turned the tide in the bottom of the inning. Gonzalez led off with a triple and scored on Troy Tulowitzki's single. Three batters later, Melvin Mora delivered an RBI single, giving the Rockies a 2-1 edge.

Todd Helton created some breathing room in the sixth with a leadoff homer, his sixth blast of the year and second in as many nights. Gonzalez stretched the advantage to four an inning later with a two-run shot, his 27th of the season.

Rod Barajas made things interesting in the ninth for Los Angeles with a two-run homer.

Chacin (7-9) evened his record to 2-2 against the Dodgers this campaign, allowing just one run and four hits. The 22-year old, who walked four and struck out seven in improving to 3-1 in his last four starts, had tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings against Arizona on Sunday.

Chad Billingsley (10-8) fell to 1-3 in his last six outings, surrendering three runs, five hits and five walks in six frames without recording a strikeout.
