Jay Bruce and Ramon Hernandez each hit two home runs to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 12-2 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday.

Miguel Cairo and Drew Stubbs also went deep for the Reds, who have homered in 18 consecutive games and buried the Astros with their most recent power display.

Bruce homered in the second and third innings as the Reds jumped out to an 8-1 lead after three. Hernandez also went deep in the third and added his second of the game in the fifth.

Aaron Harang (4-5) was the beneficiary of the Reds home run barrage as he picked up the win. Harang allowed one run and four hits in seven innings with four strikeouts and a pair of walks.

Cincinnati took advantage of Brian Moehler (0-2), who was making his first start of the season. Moehler yielded eight runs and 10 hits in 2 2/3 innings. He walked one and allowed three of Cincinnati's six home runs.

Tommy Manzella drove in both runs for Houston.
