Tim Hudson and two relievers combined on a four-hitter and the Atlanta Braves put up four runs in the fifth inning for a 4-0 win over the New York Mets on Saturday.

Hudson (9-4) allowed four hits and two walks over seven innings before Jonny Venters and Billy Wagner worked perfect innings to finish it off. Hudson has traded wins and losses over his past six starts.

The Braves did all their damage in the fifth, breaking open a scoreless tie against Mets starter Mike Pelfrey.

Troy Glaus and Omar Infante drove in runs with singles and the Braves added runs when Yunel Escobar grounded into a double play and Hudson doubled in a run.

Pelfrey (10-4) didn't record an out in fifth and allowed four runs on a season-high tying 12 hits.

Six players had multiple hits for the Braves in the 15-hit attack, led by Infante's 3-for-5 day. They had 13 singles as a team

Angel Pagan had three of New York's hits in defeat.
