Chris Young capped an eighth-inning rally with a two-run homer, lifting the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.

Tony Abreu also homered during the four-run eighth for the Diamondbacks, who improved to 4-11 against the Dodgers this season.

Arizona spoiled a stellar effort by Los Angeles starter Chad Billingsley by abusing the Dodgers' bullpen. Ronald Belisario recorded the first out of the inning and then George Sherrill came on and walked Stephen Drew before yielding Abreu's first blast since 2007, a two-run shot that drew the Diamondbacks within 4-3.

Kelly Johnson followed with a single and the Dodgers brought in former closer Jonathan Broxton (5-6), whose first pitch was deposited over the left-field wall by Young for his 27th homer of the season and a 5-4 Arizona lead.

Sam Demel (2-1) picked up the win despite allowing two runs in the top of the eighth and Juan Gutierrez worked the ninth for his 14th save in 16 opportunities.

Billingsley tossed seven superb innings, limiting the Diamondbacks to one run and four hits while walking one and matching his career high with 13 strikeouts.

James Loney added a two-run double and Ryan Theriot collected two hits and a run scored for the Dodgers, who have managed four runs or more just twice in their last 12 games.

Billingsley and Arizona starter Joe Saunders kept the game scoreless until the fifth, when Ryan Theriot and Matt Kemp both singled with two outs and James Loney followed with a double to center field, giving Los Angeles a 2-0 lead.

Miguel Montero led off the bottom of the frame with a double and scored two batters later on Cole Gillespie's sacrifice fly, halving Arizona's deficit.

Barajas increased the Dodgers' advantage to 4-1 in the top of the eighth with a two-out, two-run shot off Demel. It was the catcher's 17th homer of the year and fifth in 22 games with Los Angeles.
