Dan Haren threw three-hit ball for seven innings and Mike Napoli homered as the Los Angeles Angels earned a 3-0 shutout of the Seattle Mariners for a three-game sweep Sunday afternoon.

Haren (3-4) had six strikeouts, walked three and did not allow a hit after the fourth inning. Fernando Rodney picked up his 10th save by pitching a hitless ninth.

Jason Vargas (9-10) allowed two runs, one earned, on seven hits in seven innings. He had four strikeouts and a walk.

The Angels swept their first series since Aug 9-11 and won the season series 15-5.
