CC Sabathia threw seven solid innings and the New York Yankees took advantage of a pair of key errors in a 4-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday.

Curtis Granderson, Robinson Cano and Jorge Posada each drove in a run for the Yankees, who have won 10 straight against Baltimore this season.

Sabathia (6-3) improved to 4-0 against Baltimore this year and 13-1 in 18 starts against the Orioles. He allowed two runs and nine hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.

The 2007 AL Cy Young Award winner preserved a one-run lead by striking out Luke Scott with the bases loaded to end the seventh inning.

Francisco Cervelli then added an insurance run with an RBI single the following frame.

Joba Chamberlain tossed a scoreless eighth and Mariano Rivera threw a perfect ninth for his 14th save in 15 chances.

New York trailed 2-1 before scoring twice in the sixth, courtesy of a pair of Orioles’ miscues.

Cano had an RBI single in the frame and Alex Rodriguez later scored the go-ahead run when shortstop Cesar Izturis overthrew first base on a potential inning-ending double play.

Adam Jones and Garrett Atkins had RBI singles for the Orioles, who committed three errors and went 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position en route to their 12th loss in 13 games.

Chris Tillman (0-2) was the tough-luck loser. The 22-year-old right-hander allowed three runs - only one of them earned – and seven hits in six innings.
