Kyle Bradish pitched seven no-hit innings and Adley Rutschman and Colton Cowser homered as the visiting Baltimore Orioles defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-1 on Sunday to secure a four-game sweep.

Bradish (1-0) spaced four walks while matching a career high with 11 strikeouts. He threw 63 of his 103 pitches for strikes, pacing the Orioles on a combined one-hitter.

Baltimore benefited from the long ball to send the White Sox to their ninth loss in 10 games. Danny Mendick drew the White Sox to within 3-1 with a pinch-hit home run against Danny Coulombe leading off the eighth, the hosts' only hit of the game.

Orioles relievers have surrendered at least one run in nine straight games. But Coulombe, Yennier Cano and Craig Kimbrel regrouped to preserve the victory. Kimbrel worked a perfect ninth for his 12th save.

White Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet matched zeroes with Bradish over the first five innings, as the starting pitchers of a game that began after a one hour, 40-minute rain delay worked to make up for lost time.

Crochet retired the first 11 batters he faced before Ryan Mountcastle doubled to right with two outs in the fourth. Gunnar Henderson followed with a walk before Crochet escaped trouble with a strikeout of Anthony Santander.

Baltimore broke through for a pair of runs in the sixth. Jordan Westburg singled with one out and scored one batter later when Rutschman, who had two hits, belted a two-run homer into the left field bleachers. It was his 10th home run this season.

Crochet (5-5) lost for the first time since April 24, a span of six starts and five decisions. He scattered two runs and three hits in six innings with one walk and 11 strikeouts.

Cowser delivered a solo home run against Michael Soroka in the eighth to put the Orioles ahead 3-0. James McCann provided an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth to account for the final margin.

Chicago stranded three baserunners compared to five for Baltimore, which went 0-for-3 with men in scoring position.
