Aaron Judge hit a three-run homer with one out in the ninth inning against MLB saves leader Jordan Romano, lifting the New York Yankees to a 6-5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees won for the 14th time in 16 games and avoided their second losing streak of the season when Judge drove a 1-2 hanging slider from Romano (1-2) into the left-field seats. After his 10th homer of the season and second career walk-off hit, Judge was mobbed by his teammates at the plate.

Before Judge won it, Jose Trevino and DJ LeMahieu walked against Romano, who blew his second save in 14 chances.

Judge's blast helped the Yankees overcome a 5-3 deficit after Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a tiebreaking double and scored on a sacrifice fly by Alejandro Kirk in the eighth, off Chad Green.

Wandy Peralta (1-0) pitched a scoreless ninth.

Giancarlo Stanton hit a tying homer in the sixth off Yimi Garcia after LeMahieu opened the inning with a double that ended Yusei Kikuchi's no-hit bid.

Garcia was ejected without a warning when his next pitch hit Josh Donaldson in the back; pitching coach Pete Walker also was tossed. Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo was ejected in the seventh after Jonathan Loaisiga threw a pitch up and in at Bo Bichette; Loaisiga was not tossed.

George Springer hit his 47th career leadoff homer and Santiago Espinal added a two-run double in the second for Toronto.

Kikuchi allowed two runs on two hits in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked three and lost his no-hit bid on his 84th pitch.

New York's Luis Severino allowed three runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings while pitching on eight days' rest.

Springer gave Toronto a 1-0 lead when he sent Severino's full-count cutter into the left-field seats for his fourth leadoff homer this season. Espinal initially was given a home run, but the call was overturned when replays showed the ball deflecting off Hicks' glove and hitting the top of the wall.
